Motown is Coming to Town in June!

The Magazine of Santa Clarita is proud to sponsor and feature Motown in Town on our cover.
Motown will certainly be the talk of the town all over Santa Clarita as the community gears up for the most-awaited Motown In Town Dinner show at the Grand ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Valencia, benefitting the SCV Senior Center. The event is on Sunday, June 26, featuring an exciting and colorful live concert that will celebrate the nostalgic songs of Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Temptations, Diana Ross, Jackson Five, Gladys Knight and many more! Heading the celebration is the country’s leading band The Stone Soul with soloist Matt Grey and special guest Balladeer Ms. Alex Nester and LaNiece McKay.
At the ballroom lobby, there will be booth exhibitors, a fine art show, silent auction and no-host bar, with outstanding guitarist Manak Khamvongsa to provide musical entertainment, open to the public.
Tickets to the dinner show are available at 661-312-3422. Or visit: Fast Frame Valencia, in the Kohl’s shopping center; KHTS AM-1220 on Main Street in Newhall; or the SCV Senior Center in Newhall. Tickets are priced from $40 to $65, for dinner and show or show only. Reserve now.
Both Stone Soul and Ms. Alex Nester have performed with legendary artists including Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Mary Wilson and Chicago, to name a few.
Once again, the local artists from Santa Clarita Artists Association will exhibit Motown-inspired fine art at the lobby as they create colorful and exciting pieces of art depicting the moods of the era to add excitement to the Motown show! The exhibit is entitled: “The Art of Motown,” with established artists Cecily Willis, Scott Parker, Zony Gordon, Lisa Barr, Evie Cook, Jane Mick and Chris Lim. The artists will be present.
